Dr. Chad Chisholm, professor of English and Director of the Carolina Institute for Faith and Culture, has published a collection of his essays, Requiems and Reveries: Essays on Language, Literature, and Life. Chisholm is an award-winning professor who for two decades has explored questions of classical education. Throughout each essay, he argues for the importance of teaching students not only ‘right knowledge’ but also ‘right desires.’ If our schools are to be centers of lively learning and profound wisdom, then Chisholm’s essays provide much insight into the nature of human learning.
